Postcards From Time

We want to start a conversation by sending you a postcard from history.

If you are reading this, then the chances are you have recived a historical postcard from us. Who knows, you may have already embarked upon a conversation with someone on your street whom you have never spoken to before. Perhaps you have even undertaken a little bit of research about the person it was originally sent to, and the period when they lived at your address.

With a bit of luck, you are visiting our website to tell us about your experience too.

There are lots of ways that you can talk to us.

  • Use our contact form via the link at the top of this page or click here. Please give us your feedback
  • Contact us on social media - you could Tweet an image of your postcard, or pop it into a comment on Facebook or Instagram. Links to our social media can be found at the bottom of this page

So how does this thing work? Well, it really is very simple. We send a historical postcard back to its original address where it was sent. You wake up and, the next thing you know, you are opening a piece of history that directly relates to the house where you live and the inhabitants who lived there all those years ago. Read through the information sheet that goes with it.

Amazing, and we hope you think so too? At the very least we hope it makes you smile and brings a fesh outlook to your day.

However, now you have some options. You can say 'That's nice', read it and pop it on the mantlepiece. Or you might read the pack that goes with it and maybe even decide to strike up a conversation with someone you don't know, just to tell them about it. You've got the perfect excuse after all.

You might even undertake a little research about your house and the people who used to live there back when the postcard was sent.

Hopefully, you'll also tell us what you thought when you received it and whether or not it made you smile!

Alternatively, please just pop it through the letterbox of a nearby antique shop.

About Us: We've been as busy as bees behind the scenes at Postcards From TIME, but it's all worth it. We like to create a little spark, we thrive on the the quirky and the unexpected. Some people say we are excentric and frankly they are probably right. But it's all good, there's no catch, we just want to make a little difference in an ever changing world. It's kind of like the butterfly effect, you know, small causes can have bigger effects.
